Martha “Sis” Frances Hurley Reynolds, 90, of Salisbury, MD died on Monday, October 31, 2016 at Wicomico Nursing Home, Salisbury, MD. Born on June 10, 1926, she was the daughter of the late William Luther Hurley and Missle Olive Todd Hurley of Cambridge, MD. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, George Ransom Reynolds of Salisbury; two brothers, Rev. Thomas Hurley and his wife, Janice of Salisbury, and Leroy Hurley and his wife, Jackie of Easton, MD; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers, William Hurley, Donald Hurley, J. Arthur Hurley, Edward Hurley, Joseph Hurley, Frederick Hurley (infant) and a sister, Lillian O’Neal. Martha graduated from Cambridge High School in 1944. She was very active in sports, especially basketball. Growing up, she spent many lazy summer days diving off the Choptank River drawbridge with her brothers. She could out swim them all. Later she served as a Red Cross lifeguard at the Choptank River. During her husband’s career in the Air Force, she was able to accompany him to all the many state side bases and two overseas bases. Martha loved to cook and prepare meals of all kinds for family and friends. Baking was her specialty. She was also an excellent seamstress. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 3, at 2:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Cemetery in Cambridge. The service will be conducted by her brother, Rev. Thomas Hurley and her nephew, Rev. Jay Hurley.
