David Michael Haley, 60, of Georgetown, Tennessee, passed away, Saturday, November 26, 2016, in a Chattanooga area hospital.
He was born on July 28th, 1956, to the late Dwight and Sara Jo Haley, in Manchester, Tennessee.
David graduated from Central High School in Chattanooga and was a Vietnam Veteran having served his country in the U S Army. He retired as a truck driver with Solomon Corporation in Decatur, Tennessee.
He was a very patient and gentle man. David had a deep love for his family, animals and close friends.
He was a member of Tyner United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his loving wife, Rita Haley, of Georgetown, TN, three children, Jeffrey (Tina) Judd, of Decatur, TN, Jonathan Judd, of Georgetown, TN, Laura (Jeremy) McNabb, of Cleveland, TN, grandchildren, Alexis Judd, Jackson Judd, Whitley Judd, and Emersyn Grace McNabb (expected in early December), brother, John Haley, of Soddy Daisy, TN, sister, Sarah (Randy) Bohanon, of Chickamauga, GA, brother, Tom (Cindy) Haley, of Collegedale, TN, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 12:30 pm, Thursday, December 1st, 2016 in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Pastor David Evans and Rev. Charlie Harrison officiating and special friend Doug Gilmore delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with military rites being conducted.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 am – 12:30 pm, Thursday, December 1st, 2016 at the funeral home.
