Deolinda "Linda" (Morgado) Nogueira, 81, of Dartmouth passed away peacefully in the loving arms of her daughter Lori Ann Saturday, November 26, 2016. She was the beloved wife of the late Gilbert "Sonny" Nogueira.
Linda was born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Manuel and Maria (Joaquina) Morgado. She resided in North Dartmouth for 46 years and the last 3 years at Avalon Nursing Home in Warwick RI. She was a communicant of St. George Church.
Mrs. Nogueira worked payroll at Morse Cutting Tools. She also was an administrative assistant at Goodyear, Almy Insurance, and Cooper Insurance. Linda graduated at the top of her class at Kinyon-Campbell Business School. She was in the Woman's Auxiliary for the VFW Post 6643 in E. Freetown. She loved to dance with Sonny, listen to music, sing, roller skate, play cards, bowl, and sunbathe. She loved animals. Linda gave to the poor and donated to several charities. Her greatest love and joy was spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Lori Ann Ventura of Enfield, CT and her son Michael W. Nogueira and his wife Patrice of E. Freetown; her grandchildren Neil & Harmony Ventura and Amber, Nathan, & Mikayla Nogueira; her great-granddaughter Mia Ann Ventura; a son-in-law, Peter Ventura and many godchildren, nieces & nephews.
She was the sister of the late Hilda M. Albino.
Her funeral mass will be Monday, December 5, 2016 at 10 a.m. in St. George Church, 12 Highland Ave., Westport. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, New Bedford. Visitation will be Sunday 12-3 p.m at WARING-SULLIVAN at DARTMOUTH, 230 Russells Mills Rd., Dartmouth. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to "Brain & Behavior Research Foundation" https://bbrfoundation.org. For online tribute/directions www.waring-sullivan.com.

You are truly the definition of a true and devoted daughter! I'm at awe of you...I don't kmow how you did it but you did...you gave your everything to your mum..so admirable...she's looking down being thankful to her precious daughter...feel proud my friend cuz mum is so proud of you!!!
