Still think of my brother,John often and remember some of the great experiences we had growing up.
My dad took us fishing a lot as we were growing up, and Johnny would get so excited and always wanted to catch the biggest fish. Seems like he often did, too. And he loved cooking and was a great cook. Sometimes he would tell me about something he made, and I would ask him to send me the recipe. He
would reply, "Hell, Sis. I don't use recipes. I just throw in a little of this, a little of that until it tastes the way I like it." I love to cook too, and even though I still use recipes a lot I have learned to "just add a little of this and a little of that" more often than not. And I always think of him when I do.

I remember John and my Dad, Chuck Stacey, being very good friends. I remember John always being funny and making dandelion wine. Rest in peace to a great man.

JR was my neighbor directly across the street for eight years. The last four years we got to know each other better and just before and after his wife passed away we would bake each other treats and walk across the road to deliver them to each other and chat. At first I would sometimes see him coming and try to rush out and meet half way so he didn't have to come all the way over. But he always ended up walking me up to my door anyways. He wanted to come over on his own. Once I commented on the beautiful tree in his side yard and he made a start for me and brought it over. His smile and his laugh were so joyful. I am so sorry for your loss. I'm still here, just across the street, if any of you ever need anything at all. What an amazing example of kindness and perseverance.
Love,

I will really miss my big brother, John (always Johnny to me). Sometimes when he was on a truck trip and my family was visiting our mother, Mary Ferrell, in Weiser, ID, we would have great visits and he would talk about some of his trucking experiences. He also sometimes brought us bottles of Hot Sauce or other cooking ingredients that he had picked up somewhere along his route. He loved to cook, and would share some of his favorite "recipes" and ideas for dishes with us. It always lit up my mother's life when he stopped by to visit. And
one time when my kids were small, he let them get in his big truck and then he took us for ride around a "country block." They talked about that for days.
I know he and Mary Ann and our mother, Mary, are together again now and I hope they are visiting like crazy and making up for lost times.
(Love you and miss you, Johnny.
Your Sis, Elaine)
