Hilda Frances West, 63, a resident of Shenandoah, died December 5, 2016 at the University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville.
A daughter of the late Carl F. and Inez Claire McAlister Lucas, she was born on April 13, 1953, in Page County. She attended Bear Lithia Baptist Church.
Surviving is a son, Barry A. Hensley of Grottoes, two daughters, Kimberly Samuels and April Collier, both of Elkton; eight grandchildren; four brothers, Gordon E., Gary D. and Kenneth D. Lucas, and William L. Satterfield; and five sisters, Violet E. Austin, Naomi C. Foley, Jean Sublett, Kay I. Comer, and Yvonne I. Loker.
She was preceded in death by five brothers, Carl, Keith, Arthur, Lindel, and Alvin Lucas; and one sister, Joyce A. Stalvey.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Shenandoah Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Jimmy Kite officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
