Churchill, William Douglas Jan 6, 1928 - Dec 12, 2016 Bill passed on December 12 at home in Omaha. Bill was born to Lyle and Helen Churchill in Caledonia, MN on January 6, 1928. He grew up in Saint Peter, MN. Preceding him in death were his wife, Jean, his parents, his brothers, Robert and Donald. Bill is survived by daughters, Patti and Jan of Omaha, son Doug and wife Paula, of Laughlin, NV, son Scott and wife Kris of Blair, NE, his fiancée Sue Wilson of Omaha, granddaughters Lauren Passmore and husband Frank, of Phoenix, AZ, Kelsey of Omaha, McKenzie and Kylee of Laughlin, NV, granddaughter Katerina and grandson Nikita of Blair, NE. Bill is also survived by his sister Barbara Stangler and husband, William of Saint Peter, MN and many nieces, nephews, family and friends. After two years in the U.S. Navy he worked 32 years in the U.S. Corps of Engineers and 28 years in his own engineering business. Bill was a loving husband and father. He helped Jean in fostering little white Westie dogs, sailing, flying and spending time with family and friends. VISITATION will be Friday from 9:30am to 11am at the church. FUNERAL SERVICE Friday at 11am at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 15002 Blondo St. Private Inurnment at Flower Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Nebraska Humane Society, or to the Covenant Presbyterian Church.

I am sorry to hear of Bill's death. He graduated from high school with my father. We stopped for a visit in June. The guys had a wonderful time catching up. I was blessed to have met him and Sue.

So sorry to hear of Bill's passing. We were on the Minnesota Transplant Committee with Bill and he was so proud of being raised is Minnesota. Bill was a fun-loving person with always so much Enthusiasm! We will miss him!
