Ed Henshaw Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 13, 2016.

Edward Paul Henshaw, Jr, 84 years old, peacefully passed away surrounded by his family at his home in San Jose, California, on December 6, 2016. He was the only child of Edward Henshaw and Roberta Bellis Henshaw. He was a native of San Francisco, CA and was born on January 6, 1932. He attended Washington High School and was the photographer for several yearbooks.

As a young man, Edward joined the Army. He was a dance instructor for Arthur Murray. He married Patricia Ann Sullivan in the Oakland, CA LDS Temple. They had five children and seven grandchildren. Edward worked as a gas foreman for PG&E for 35 years and also started his own photography business, Henshaw Photography, where he specialized in weddings, family portraits and school pictures.

Edward and Beverly were married in 1996 and spent their golden years going on cruises, dancing, watching old movies, documenting life through photos, spending time with family and watching their beloved Giants and Niners. They were known by all as "Ed and Bev: That Cute Couple".

He is survived by his wife Beverly Hughes-Henshaw; his children Edward Henshaw, III (Aracely), Deann Henshaw Daniels (Jeff), Kimberly Henshaw Nelson, David Henshaw (Kate), and Julie Henshaw Bruns (Robert); his grandchildren Shelby, Ashley, Cody, Lainee, Ian, Owen and Brandon; his three step-children Tommy Hughes, Ronnie Hughes (Denise), and Charlyn Hughes; five step-grandchildren Jeremy, Tawni, Dustin, Sarah and Tyler; two step-great-grandchildren, Brady and Allison and his devoted kitties, Patches and Boo.

Memorial services will be held on December 23, 2016 at Oak Hill Memorial Cemetery at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Shriners Hospitals for Children in his name.

To the friend I once shared a few years of my life with. The photos are so sweet and tender. Thank you for all the support, laughter and adventures...and the dancing. Remembering you with affection...Alice O'Neill

I have many fond memories of Uncle Ed throughout my youth. Most of which involve photography and camping. I remember the many fun camping trips to Oregon Creek with our families and the fun time we had. May his family be blessed with much comfort.
