To the Fimbres Family: I just found out about this terrible loss. It is with a heavy heart that I say, Chief, you will be missed.
Chief, you were always a ray of sunshine on a gloomy day. I thank you for all the talks we had and for all the encouragement you gave me when my life was in shambles. No matter how hard my day was, or how much I wanted to give up, you ALWAYS made me see the brighter side. I miss you and the crazy talks we had during our time in Japan. You have always seen the good in people. I miss you Chief. Soar high. And rest in paradise.

Wow....I am still in shock over your untimely loss. We spent a few years together first as a student-instructor, then platoon leaders-NCO, and I had to be privilege and honor as a commander to have you as my maintenance Warrant Officer. During it all, it was always intersting and good times. Raul, you are going to be missed. Your smile, warm personality, openness, and even your flaws are what made you special. Almost everyone who came in contact with you appreciated your intelligence, work ethic, and the pride you had in your profession and in life. I am forever grateful to you as you always kept the battery operating, and always provided a voice of reason. You always kept the pulse of the team in mind even when I may have had blinders on. You always sacrificed to make sure our guys and equipment were taken care of. Thank you. Now you are gone, and I wish you could hear how wonderful you have been to all the lives you touched. I pray your soul rest in peace. I pray for your family's strength during this tough time. I pray for your daughter as she deals with this throughout her life, and that the LORD guides her steps and places great people in her life for her to excel and live her God-given purpose. God bless my friend. You were truly one of a kind. #salute
