Dear Daddy, I know God loves me because he chose me to be your daughter and I am so thankful he did. You loved us beyond words and I know you are watching over us everyday. You always made us laugh and try new things, like your Potato Pancakes! You also always had time to play games with us, like Yahoo, Yahtzee, Dominoes or even a game of Go Fish. My friends would love to stay overnight because my Dad was "so funny" and could drink a Coca Cola in one long drink! Grandma Derrick told me a funny story about you when you were little. She said she had to punish you one time because you said something was BS...and you couldn't understand why you got in trouble because BS stood for Bologna and Sausage. Thank you for being a wonderful Dad and for raising me in a Christian home. I miss you and will see you again one day. All my love, Kathy

Dear Dad, I'm not going to say gooodbye; I'm just going to say 'til we meet again. Thank you for raising me in a Christian home and being a Godly example. The legacy you leave behind is what we all strive for. Thank you for all the funny memories I have like dancing your silly dances, reading the Sunday comics and hiding places to jump out and scare me. When Mike would come to pick me up for a date he remembers you watching two TV's while listening to the Ranger game and playing a game of checkers at the same time. You would always ask Mike if he wanted an Eskimo pie or a glass of tea. When he said yes, you would holler "Lou, Bring us an Eskimo pie". We had many fun trips to Vegas to watch Greg bowl. You would "volunteer " to stay up all night so we could sleep if we were short a bed. I'm thankful we had 85 wonderful years together. Love your daughter Sherry--'Til we meet again XOXO.

Bill was a testament to a purposeful life well lived. He and his family were a second family to our son. He was a neighbor, friend and Christian example to us. His family and those he ministered to are his living legacy. Our most sincere sympathy to the family. You are in our prayers. James and Lucille Thurman

To the Derrick Family: Our condolences to all of you. What a wonderful man of God Bill was. He was the best example of how a husband, dad, granddad and friend should be. His love of music spilled over onto everyone around. He taught God's Word with great enthusiasm. Most of all, he lived a life which represented his Lord and Savior. This world will miss him greatly, but we know we will see him again one day soon, and will never part again. We love you, Bro. Bill.
