Graveside services for Mary Helen Butler, 62, of Lufkin, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 30, 2016 in the Whitehouse Cemetery with Rev. Michael Murray officiating.
Mary was born August 12, 1954 in Corpus Christi, Texas, the daughter of the late Ruby (Powers) and Paul Scholz. She passed away in the comfort of her home on Monday, December 26, 2016 in Lufkin.
Mary was a simple, yet intricate lady. Although not big in stature, the love for her family was limitless. Her love of animals and music was evident in her everyday life, and is evident in her children.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, John and Heather Scholz of California, Stephen Butler of Lufkin, Shaun and Heather Butler of Lufkin, and Kelly Butler of Lufkin; 6 grandchildren, AJ, Sydney and Simone Scholz, Hayden and Shaun Michael Butler II, and Spencer Butler; and numerous other loved family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rodney Butler; and brother, Paul "Booger" Scholz.
Pallbearers will be her proud sons, John Scholz, Stephen Butler, Shaun Butler and Kelly Butler.
Services have been placed in the care of Oakley-Metcalf Funeral Home.
