Beverly Navaree Cross Roach, 73, of Axton, passed away December 30, 2016, at Danville Medical Center. She was born on August 21, 1943, in Belington, W.Va., to the late William McKinley Cross and Ruth Scott.
She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved to serve other people. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and attending church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Wilda Donavant; brother, Lowell Cross; and grandson, Nathan Roach.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Gerald "Jerry" Roach; daughters, Belinda (Garrett) Scearce, of Axton, and Melody (Eric) Epstein, of Coral Springs, Fla.; son, Gerald Lee Roach, of Axton; sister, Nancy Anderson, of Stoneville, N.C.; brothers, Randy (Margaret) Cross, of Summerfield , N.C.; grandson, Kevin (Tori) Roach, Bryan Epstein, and Will Epstein; and two great-grandchildren, Taylor Roach and Stella Roach.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, January 2, 2017, at McKee- Stone Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2017, at Mckee- Stone Funeral Home Chapel, with Minister James Cole officiating and interment to follow at Roselawn Burial Park
