JT Call, 94 passed away Friday, January 6th, 2017 in Fort Worth, TX.
JT was born in Bonham, TX on July 30, 1922, one of seven children to Luther and Ruby Brown Call. He was married to the love of his life, Imogene Marcy Call, for 67 years until her death on May 14, 2013. He was a devoted husband and loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great grandfather and uncle to several nieces and nephews. He enlisted into the Army and served as a Sargent in the Asia Pacific Campaign during World War II. After he was honorably discharged, he moved back to Texas where he married his wife and chose to become a farmer where he planted and harvested crops in El Paso, Pecos, Coyanosa and other small Texas towns until they retired in Ladonia, TX. They lived on the farm for 30+ years and then moved closer to their children in both Ennis and Fort Worth until their deaths.
JT is survived by his daughter, Carol Deleo and husband, Cosimo, and son, Ray Call and wife, Paula, grandchildren Dawn Florey and husband, Wilson, Jennifer Cain and husband, Josh, and Jonathan Call and wife Ruby. He also is great-grandfather to Jeremy, Jeffrey, Jaxon and Jaice Florey, Matthew and Colton Cain and Leslie and Keith Call and great-great grandfather to Lillian and Tucker Florey. Also surviving is his sister, Peggy and husband Phil Klein, and sister-in-law's, Ann Call and Joyce Call. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Elmer and wife Ellen, Weldon and wife Mary, Harry and Orville and sister Jerri and brother-in-law Al Sims.
A Celebration of Life will be held on January 14th at 1:00 p.m.at the Crossroads of Fort Worth Church, 6331 Boulevard 26, Suite 250, North Richland Hills, TX 76180 with Family visitation immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family asked that any donations be made to Ladonia Cemetery Association, c/o Ann Duncan, 202 E. Main Street, Ladonia, TX 75449.
