Dorothy Gilmer Singleton,70, wife of Charles Crew Singleton of 11731 Marston Moor Ln Waldorf MD,passed away on January 9,2017.
Born in Greenville SC at St Francis Hospital, she was the youngest daughter of the late Mildred Craft Gilmer and Henry Neville Gilmer Sr of Anderson, SC. Dottie attended McDuffie High school and after graduation performed as a Cosmetologist . Later in life she held many jobs as a daycare provider and employee of Walmart. Her retirement years were spent as a homemaker and grandmother to her grandchildren.
Dottie is survived by her husband of 26 years, Charles Crew Singleton of the home, daughter Chrystal Pressley Davis of Waldorf, MD and Timothy W. Davis Jr, son in law, stationed in Hawaii, granddaughters Aylivia Singleton, Danaea Davis, Aryeh Davis, grandson Deionte Davis and great-grandson Kaidyn Bailey, and Sister Bernie Skelton of Anderson SC.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Alice Gilmer and Sharon Martin and brother Henry "Skip" Gilmer Jr.
Memorial Service to be held at New Prospect Baptist Church, Anderson SC on January 21, 2017. Receiving friends and family from 2-3pm and Service to start at 3pm.
