She always took me into her home when I was a little boy, just because I was that annoying little neighborhood kid. She and Mr. Howard would pretend I was the greatest.
They would give me a cookie and send me on my way.
Years later, when I was a teen and then a college kid- ignorant and full of myself- I wouldn't see them so much anymore.
But they would still bring my dog into their home and play with him and feed him biscuits.
What beautiful people.
I had no idea she had left us.
She was special. I'm sorry. So sorry.
