Ambie L. (Koerner) Kays, 91, a life long resident of Crescent Hill, passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2017. She was born December 9, 1925 to the late Louis Joseph Koerner, Sr. and Theresa (Rothman) Koerner. She was a retired secretary of 40 years with Clifton Baptist Church, and a member of Beechwood Baptist. Besides her parents she was also preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa Kays.
She is survived by her loving husband of 71 years, William R. Rudy Kays; a brother, L.J. Koerner, Jr., 3 children; Larry Kays, Linda Cissell, and Byron Kays; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, January 16, 2017 at Arch L. Heady-Cralle, 2428 Frankfort Ave. with burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens East. Visitation after 11 am Monday.
