Pat was my inspiration to live life to its fullest. She taught me how to truly be a decent human being. Few people in our lives touch our hearts as Pat did. I will surely miss our times and our discussions. She gave me freedom through my divorce and wings through her kindness. See you up above someday dear lady!

What a lovely service. Pat was there for me as a lawyer for many years as I was going through a difficult custody battle. She became a true friend right away, and taught me how to be tough during a tough time. She also "got me" and managed to make me laugh with her sense of humor and compassion. Pat was always there for me and I am forever grateful I had the opportunity to know such a special woman.

Pat's absence from the Family Court in Monterey has been noticed for the past few years. I will miss Pat, with her warm smile and generous, fighting spirit. My sincere sympathy to her family.

What a compassionate, wise, down-to-earth woman! Pat was fiercely loyal to her clients and other friends (clients became friends). She cracked me up with her street-smart views of law and life: Get a restraining order, sure, but then tape it to a baseball bat! Pacific Grove has lost a gentle leader and devoted friend. As have we all. But richer for the dependable service, warm humor and canny counsel. Such a vibrant and vivid character surely lives on everywhere a helping hand is given.

I spent years with Pat attending law school. Pat worked full time and went to law school in the evenings. There was never a question that Pat would be an advocate for the disadvantaged and especially women. She always talked about her pride in her family. She was a very intelligent, thoughtful, and wonderful person.

Pat was a scrapper and a giver. When I first got started as an attorney and did family law, I called her too often and she always took my call. My wife , Julie Terflinger, worked for Pat for 3 years and Pat gave her all for every client. She never gave up. We are sorry there will be no celebration as the legal community has lost one of their own. Jane Wynn, Esq.

Dear James, Mike, Tom and Tanya,
So sorry to hear about Pat's passing - you had a Mother like no other! She was an amazing woman, mind like a laser, so generous and giving of her time, good counsel and money to whomever needed it! Talk about generosity -Mike's golfing trip to Portugal just blew me away!
I feel so fortunate to have known her so well and so long - we had so many good times together, and she was such a great influence on my life. You four can now carry on her great spirit, she loved you all so well!
