Katherine Louise (Geving) Moldstad, age 92, of Bloomington, died Monday at I.U. Health; Bloomington Hospital. Born September 23, 1924 in Jamestown, North Dakota, she was the daughter of August Richard and Lillian Alda (Oldaker) Geving. She graduated from Jamestown College and later received a Master's Degree in Educational Personnel from Indiana University. She taught in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. She married her husband, John Alton Moldstad in 1951. As her daughter, Janet and her son, Richard, were growing up, Katherine was a homemaker and worked on additional doctoral course work. She later returned to work at Indiana University in the Dept. of Sociology. Katherine loved golfing, dancing, both ballroom and line, playing Bridge, gardening, reading, traveling and singing. She was very active in Tri Kappa, Gamma Chapter, the Indiana University women's golf group and the Melody Makers singing group.
Katherine is survived by her children, Janet (Stephen) Wells, of Surprise, Arizona and Richard (Ardith) Moldstad, of Valparaiso, Indiana; four grandchildren, Jason (Kari) Wells, Michael Wells, Lindsay Moldstad and Natalie (Matt) Moldstad Salan and four great-grandchildren, Owen Wells, Austin Wells, Olivia Salan and Haylee Salan.
She was preceded in death by her husband and one sister, Imogene Ann (Geving) Goll.
There will be a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. Sunday (01/22) at the Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home; 4150 E. Third St. A gathering of family and friends will immediately follow in the Day Reception Center.

We are deeply sorry to hear about your Mother. We were neighbors for 40 years .
