Mr. Bobby Gene Rhinehart, age 87, of Douglasville, GA, passed away January 20, 2017. He was born February 4, 1929 to the late Hobson and Georgia Rhinehart. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty A. Rhinehart; son, Timothy Gene Rhinehart; and Stepson, Perry W. Henry.
Mr. Rhinehart retired as a Senior Master Sergeant from the United States Air Force. He served in both the Korean War and Vietnam War. After retiring from the Air Force, he became a car salesman, working the longest with John Thornton Chevrolet. His last job was delivering auto parts for White’s Auto Parts. He was a member of the Douglasville First Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Boland Rhinehart; stepsons and daughters-in-law, Toney and Sherry Henry, Ben and Patricia Shipp, and Matt and Kitty Shipp; stepdaughter, Diane Shipp; brother, Warren Rhinehart; nine grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at 2:00 PM from the Rosehaven Chapel with Rev. Sandy Fox, and Rev. Andrew Dickinson officiating. Music will be provided by Troy Crumpton. Mr. Rhinehart’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Interment will follow in Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in Mr. Rhinehart’s memory to Homestead Hospice, 1 North Tennessee Street, Cartersville, GA 30120.

My heart and prayers are with your wife and family as you have now earned your wings. Sue may you find comfort in your heart that God blessed you with a wonderful lifetime of memories with Bobby. I hope you find peace in knowing he no longer suffers and has now spread his wings.
