Mr. Charles Norman Lewis, age 84, of Powder Springs, GA, passed away January 22, 2017. He was born August 15, 1932 in Creel Springs, IL to the late Charles Converse and Anna Marguerite Myers Lewis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Jessica Lewis; sisters, Thelma and Dorothy; and stepson, Stony W. Cohran.
He worked as a Tool and Die with General Motors. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Powder Springs American Legion, the Old Timers Hunting Club, and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed woodworking.
He is survived by his wife, Nora Lewis; sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Carolyn Lewis, James and Sherell Lewis, Bryan and Jo Lewis, and Martin and Heather Lewis; sister, Barbara; and eleven granchildren.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life on Friday, January 27, 2017. They will receive friends between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00 PM at Whitley-Garner at Rosehaven Funeral Home.
