Anita Solis Damian, 84 of Angleton, Texas, entered Heavens gates on January 25, 2017. Anita was born on July 8, 1932, in La Grulla, Texas to Policarpio and Petra Solis. Anita married Celestino Garza Damian on August 20, 1953 in Velasco, Texas.

When she retired from Velasco Elementary School, she joined her husband in running his surveying company, Damian and Associates, Inc. until she once again retired in 2011. Anita's hobbies included gardening, antiquing, crosswords and find-a-word puzzles. Anita was most famously known for her pan de polvo Mexican wedding cookies that she would make during the Christmas season.
Anita is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, and sisters, Maria Guzman, Adelaida Zarate and Adela Solis, and great grandson, Michael Lorenzo Perez.
Anita is survived by her children, Estella Damian-Aluizo and her husband Nicolas, Jr., Ronald Damian and his wife Mariza, Rene Damian and his wife Sandra and Phillip Damian; grandchildren, Melinda Perez, Nicolas Aluizo III and his wife Belinda, Cristina Contreras and her husband Mark, Petra Becerra and her husband Chris, Anne-Marie Cohea and her husband John David, Ronald Dean Damian, Jr, and his wife Nichole, Celestino "Ben" Damian and his wife Dominique, Andrew Damian, Christian R. So sorry to hear that sweet Anita passed. I knew her as a teachet's assistant and as a resident at Cypress Woods Care Center. She always had a smile for everyone and a lovely personality. The Lord has certainly granted her wings. Anita will be missed by many.
