Martha Tucker Dowdy, 77 of Gadsden went to be with her Lord on January 25, 2017.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday January 28, 2017 at Collier-Butler Chapel.
Private Interment will be held at Crestwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 12:30. to 2pm prior to the service in the chapel.

Martha was born in Blanche, AL and moved to Etowah County as a child. She was a longtime member of Gadsden Church of Christ. Mrs. Dowdy retired as the director of Housing for the Greater Gadsden Housing Authority after thirty-four years of service. Those preceding her in death include her parents, J. George and Georgia Davis Tucker and sister, Barbara Morrow.
She leaves behind;
Best friend and companion, Gunter Hoagland
Sons, Herb (Dana) Dowdy and Chris Dowdy
And grandsons- Jay, Will, Jacob and Luke Dowdy.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gadsden Church of Christ, The Diabetes Association, or The American Heart Association.
