Judy Nuckles, 97, of Lynchburg passed away Friday, January 27, 2017 at her residence.
Born in Amherst County, April 9, 1919, she was the daughter of the late George Johns and Clemmie Nuckles. Judy enjoyed cooking, quilting and gardening and was a loving mother and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Patty Nuckles and one granddaughter, Judith Nuckles.
She is survived by three daughters, Vodie Sondeji and Esther Lesh both of Milford, DE and Lucille Nuckles of Lynchburg; one brother Harry Nuckles and his wife Sarah and one sister, Viola Hicks all of Whiting, NJ; ten grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Kidney Foundation or to the American Diabetes Association.
Whitten Park Avenue Chapel is serving the family.
