Lydia M. Terry, 78, of Hot Springs Village, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 2, 2017. She was born in Kearny, New Jersey to the late Frank and Margaret Maund on June 24, 1938.
Lydia was preceded in death by her brother, Frank Jr.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Claude; son, Russell and wife Rebecca; granddaughter, Rachel; great-grandson, William; sister, Ruth; and sister-in-law, Patricia.
During her sophomore year at Queen of Peace High School, she met Claude. Shortly after her 21st birthday she and Claude married. They spent a great deal of their married and family life in Texas and later retired to Hot Springs Village.
Lydia loved traveling and cruising especially with family and friends. She was also a member of the Mahjongg club, the Women’s Circle, and HSV Card Club.
As an active member of St. John Catholic Church, Lydia volunteered as a coordinator for volunteer services.
A lady full of grace, kindness and compassion for all, she was true to her faith in the Lord. Lydia’s brightness shone upon us all and will continue to shine on us from heaven.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.

I will miss seeing that beautiful smile and want to share the last time I saw Lydia. There are 4 of us gals that have a birthday luncheon club; we go out to lunch to celebrate each of our birthdays. Someone brings a birthday cake and we have cake after lunch. That day last year we asked Lydia if we could come up to her home after lunch and share the birthday cake with her and visit a little while. We went up and had a wonderful visit. Lydia was so gracious. Claude had made coffee and ice tea and we had cake, coffee or tea, and a wonderful visit. That will always be a part of my memory until we see her again in eternity.
