84, of Tampa, FL went to his eternal rest on February 1, 2017. Joe was a devoted family man who loved to go for family bike rides, build model trains, sing and dance, help the poor in his community and studied the bible constantly.
Joe was born in Brooklyn, NY on May 18, 1932 and was a first generation American born to native Italian parents, the late Giuseppe “Joseph” Spinella Sr. and the late Concetta “Kate” Spinella. He was called to serve in the Korean War and joined the United States Navy where he served honorably well past the end of the war.

He went to work for the Hillsborough Area Regional Transit Authority (HARTLINE) where he drove the Tampa Transit, which later became the HARTLINE bus, for 36 years until he retired.
After retirement Joe and his wife Anna, formed a street ministry in downtown Tampa to provide food, clothing and support to the homeless of Tampa for several years. His great passion was his street ministry where he would preach to the poor. Joe and Anna’s impact on the community positively changed the lives of countless people.
