BIG SPRING,TEXAS - Peggy Lou Cortner Edge, 90, went home to be with the Lord on February 1, 2017 in Big Spring, Texas. Peggy was born on June 5, 1926 in Pershing County, Oklahoma. Peggy is a long-time resident, having lived in Odessa for 55 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Odessa. Her calling was working with children, teaching them the Bible, which she did for 40 years. She leaves a legacy of loving God and her family and will be missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her father Clarence A. Cortner and mother Mary Lee Sigler Cortner, brother Bobby Joe Cortner, and husband Charles Edge. She is survived by a brother Richard C. Cortner and wife Hanna of Flagstaff, Arizona; daughter Nancy Edge of Odessa, Texas; and son Steve Edge and wife Diane of Millsap, Texas. Her grandchildren include Dusty Zimmerman and wife Kelli of Keller, Texas; Ashlle Almon and husband Mike of Keller, Texas; and Chris Edge and wife Reigh of Granbury, Texas; Five Great-Grandchildren include Chloee Almon, Brayden Zimmerman, Ethan Almon, Jaxson Zimmerman, and Kaden Almon. Visitation will be held Friday, February 3, 2017 at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Chapel from 5:00p.m. to 7:00p.m. Graveside Service will be held Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Sunset Memorial Garden 11:00a.m. with Rev. Johnny Young and son Steve Edge, officiating.
