Dale E. "Bernie" Bernard, age 77, passed away February 1, 2017.
He was the beloved husband of the late Velencia Bernard; loving father of Helena Kirschner, David (Myrna "Stace") Haddad, and Dale "Mok" (Shannon) E. Bernard Jr.; devoted grandfather of David (Vanessa) Haddad Jr., Michelle (Rich) Stephens, Lana (Pat) Harrison, Matthew (Lauren) Kirschner, Cara (Miguel) Sanchez-Estrada, Brandon Bernard, Joshua Bernard, Neil Bernard, William Bernard, Abigail Bernard, Eva Bernard, Amie (Chris) Flather, Shellie Tomlin, Rhonda Fournier, Jeremy (Krista) Fournier, and the late Renae Fournier; proud great-grandfather of 16; great-great grandfather of 2; dear son of the late Delia Bernard; and brother of Jack (Betty) Bernard and the late Delores Jean Bernard.
Bernie loved his sports. He especially enjoyed bowling and watching baseball. He also enjoyed the outdoors and hunting. People who knew him will miss his witty sense of humor. Bernie was a great friend to all, but his loss will be felt most by his loving family. He was their "Rock", a true family man. He was always there for them and exerted a calming influence over them.

I wasn't just your mail carrier we became friends. You told me the first day we met I was your girl, didn't know how to take it but I'm glad we crossed paths. You knew what time i was goin to be at your house u and your baby would meet me at the door you giving me that smile of yours and her barking. Wish I had more time to stop and talk some of those mornings. I hope you knew you had a place in my heart I'm still kicking myself for not showing up the last day you were in the hospital, I was more worried about my cold wet instead. I just knew I'd see you again and that's my regret.Thank you for always being sweet to me.
Family, depend on Jesus to get you all thru this love one another and always stay true to family.

I remember Uncle Bernie always making me feel welcome and making fun of my "texican" accent. I'm sure going to miss him.
