Duane Zieg
Gerry Smith was my Instructor Pilot at Webb Air Force Base for both T-37 and T-38 training in Class 63E (1962 -1963). He was an outstanding instructor and officer, and I am sure he was most instrumental in my following 26 year career in the Air Force. Gerry Smith was a one-of-kind professional who inspired me and others to be the very best we could be. Gerry Smith will be missed.
