Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 11, 2017 at White Springs Baptist Church for James David "Dave" Cromer, age 77, of Southside, who passed away, Tuesday, February 7, 2017. Rev. Bob Harris will officiate. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services announcing.
Dave worked as an appliance repairman for 50 years and opened his own business, D&D Appliance. Dave was a kind and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He truly exemplified a Christian life-in word and action. He was an active member of White Springs Baptist Church. We know Lulu was excited to welcome you home with little doggy kisses and you are having the time of your life playing your harmonica.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Pennie Tate.
Dave is survived by his wife, Wilma Cromer; daughters, Karen (Bill) Clark, Chloe Cromer, and Cherice (Joey) Brannon; son, Edmond Cromer; sister, Perry Ann Cromer; son-in-law, Mark Tate; granddaughter, Rachel Tate; grandsons, C.J. (Nicole) Johnson and Will Clark; and great-granddaughter, Adrina Johnson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Hospital.
Special thanks to Kindred Hospice and the nurses and doctors of Gadsden Regional Medical Center.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
