Marjorie L. Strait, age 82, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away at 5:50 AM Monday February 13, 2017 at The Brethren's Retirement Community. Marjorie was born February 2, 1935 in Greenville, Ohio, to the late Charles A. & Mabel C. (Mann) Sharp. She was a 1953 graduate of Greenville High School. She retired from Fram Corporation in 1998.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Melesa Westfall, brothers, Wayne (Betty) Sharp, Max, George, and Adrian Sharp, brother-in-law, Robert Thompson.
Marjorie is survived by her daughters, Teresa (Mike) Batten of Ansonia, Brenda Strait, Carla Helm both of Greenville, and son, Galvin Strait of Greenville; grandchildren, Joseph Batten, Alyssa (Chad) Miley, Justin (Whitney) Westfall, Jennifer Westfall & finance Sherman Deskin, Amanda McGlinch, Garrett and Sara Strait; great grandchild, Abby McGlinch. Sister, JoAnn Thompson of Greenville, three brothers, Jack (Joanne) Sharp, Gerald (Arlene) Sharp both of Greenville, and Larry (Patty) Sharp of Lancaster, OH. Sister-in-law, Judy Sharp of Rock Hill, SC. Aunt, Mary Alice Redman of Greenville, OH. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday February 16, 2017 at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville with Pastor Jeff Harper officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday February 15, 2017 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
