Leonilde Silva, age 82, of New Bedford, passed away on February 8, 2017 at Bedford Gardens.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Anibal and Mary (Perreira) Silva, she was a lifelong resident of New Bedford.
Lee was a graduate of New Bedford High School and Kinyon Campbell Business School.
She had worked as a clerk for the First National Bank for 35 Years until her retirement.
Her family includes her cousins, Elaine Lima and husband Lawrence of Naples, FL, Steven L. Lima and companion Leigh Eyre of Dartmouth, Andrew Lima of Dartmouth and Thomas Lima and wife Sherry of New Bedford.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 17, 2017 from 9am-10am in the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Dartmouth, 230 Russells Mills Rd., Dartmouth followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30am in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Rivet St., New Bedford. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.

Every blessing to all family and friends. Leonilde was always appreciative of the many beautiful flowers you sent to her. I was encouraged by her faith and understanding of the scriptures. I will remember her with fondness. May she Rest In Peace with her Savior..
