Phyllis June Foster, 85, of Pekin passed away at 11pm Friday, February 17, 2017 at Pekin Manor.
She was born December 15, 1931 in Alexandria Bay, NY, the daughter of Emmett and Thelma McAllister Moulton. She grew up in Miami, FL. Phyllis met Frank Foster Jr. in Meredosia, IL during a visit to her grandmother's in 1947. She married him on February 11, 1948. He preceded her in death on May 29, 2000.
Phyllis is survived by her son, David (Maryann) Foster of Crown Point, IN; one daughter, Diana Lynn Foster of Winsted, MN; six grandchildren, and seventeen great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, her infant brother, and one infant grandson.
Phyllis worked at Schipper and Block for three years and J.C. Penney Co. for 22 years, retiring in 1984.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran in Pekin, IL. She was also a member of a Women's Pinochle Club for many years.
Phyllis enjoyed gardening, sewing, knitting, crocheting, and quilting. She loved vacationing in Las Vegas with her husband.
Funeral Services will be at 9:30 am Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Pekin. Rev. Dave Spaeth will officiate. Visitation will be 4-6 pm Friday, February 24, 2017 at Davison-Fulton Woolsey Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens.
Memorials may be made to Harbor Light Hospice.
