Eugene Kreutzman Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 20, 2017.

Mr. Eugene E. Kreutzman Sr., age 83, of Acworth, GA., passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2017. Mr. Kreutzman was born on March 16, 1933 in McKeesport, PA., a son of the late Mrs. Thelma Kreutzman.
After high school Mr. Kreutzman joined the United States Air Force and retired after serving twenty plus years. After his military career Eugene went on to work for over twenty years with the United States Post Office. His work ethic was extraordinary, providing for his family was of utmost importance to him. In his spare time he enjoyed working in his vegetable garden and canning all the good produce to last throughout the year. Eugene could easily be described as an 'All American' who gave his all serving and protecting our great nation. Though his service to the United States was one of his greatest accomplishments it was nothing his comparison to the love and dedication he had for his family. Eugene was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend; he will certainly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Along with his parents Eugene is preceded in death by his son, Eugene 'Ed' Kreutzman Jr.
He is survived by his loving wife of fifty nine years, Mrs. Edna Thompson Kreutzman; two children, Erick Kreutzman, wife Melissa and Elacia Varnell, husband Warren; five grandchildren, Lindsay Cramer, Tiffany Ostrader, Chrissy Twilley, Carla Dailey, and Josten Kre; and sixteen great greatchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.
A funeral service to honor to the life of Mr. Kreutzman will be held at eleven o'clock in the morning on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 in the Chapel of Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Pine Ridge Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from five o'clock in the afternoon until eight on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at the funeral home.
