Jan Gass Blais, age 62 years, on Tuesday, February 21, 2017. Daughter of Fern Begue and the late Russell Gass. Beloved wife of Donald Blais, Sr. Mother of Christina Bowman (Joseph), Jose Luis Orihuela, Donald Blais, Jr. (Arlene), Barry Blais and Candice Case (Donald.). Grandmother of Donald “Woogie” Blais, III, Madison Bowman, Meriya Bowman, Brody Bowman, Caina Orihuela, Barry Blais, Jr., Savanna Blais, Garry Blais and Ellie Blais. Sister of Bonnie Humphreys, Russell Gass and Ray Begue, Jr. Also preceded in death by her step-father Ray Begue and mother and father-in-law E. R. Blais, Sr. and Gracie L. Blais.



She was a loving wife and mother and will be missed by all. Jan was a member of the New Orleans Dart Association (NODA).



Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Gathering at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. (in Metairie Cemetery) on Friday, February 24, 2017 from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital are preferred.
