Robert, I'm so sorry for your loss. Mr. Caddy was a good person and a good boss. He was surely missed when he retired from 9-1-1. I was one of the original group of employees that he hired when 9-1-1 was being started. A lot has changed since then. Rest in peace Mr. Caddy.

Rest in peace Mr. Caddy. I am truly a better person because of you. Working with you to help develop the GIS portion of the County's E911 system wasn't easy but you knew what you wanted and what the county needed and you didn't let politics get in the way of creating one the first, if not the best, enhanced 911 systems in the State of North Carolina. The citizens of Pitt County will probably never know your dedication, determination and drive to succeed but those of us who were fortunate enough to work with you know that we can all rest better at night because of you.

Robert, We never met but I worked with and for the Colonel. I was working in sheriff's communications and the Colonel recruiTed me to come work for him. I enjoyed working in the 9-1-1 system and learning for your father. He spoke of you and Cassidy often (especially) Cassidy. When she was spending a few nights with Mrs. Caddy and him his demeanor completely changed. He will be sorely missed and is a great loss. I will never forget him, he taught me a whole lot and I will never forget it. My condolences to you, your family, his brothers and sisters and friends. If I am able to come to the service, I will try to find you and introduce myself. God Bless You all.. My prayers are that he will comfort all and give you peace. Dawson Page (Ayden, N.C.)
