Kathy Dickert Wooten, 58, died unexpectedly at her home on Saturday, February 25, 2017. She was born December 19, 1958 in Chattanooga, TN. Kathy was a graduate of East Ridge High School Class of '76 and Baroness Erlanger School of Nursing and Chattanooga State. She was employed by Humana as a Registered Nurse.
Kathy was preceded in death by her husband, William C. (Bill) Wooten, Jr., her son, William C. (Billy) Wooten, III, father, Herman Dickert, paternal grandparents, Sam and Alliene Dickert and maternal grandparents, Harold and Irene House.
Kathy was a member of Jones Memorial United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her son, Jonathan Wooten; grandchildren, Will, Skylar and Katelyn Wooten; mother, Haroline Dickert, sister, Beth Dickert Tatum and nephew, Ronnie Tatum.
Kathy was a dedicated Christian and loved her family with a fierce passion. She put everyone above herself.
The family will receive friends from 1-9 PM Wednesday and from 12 – 2:30 PM Thursday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM Thursday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Dr. Eric Rieger officiating. Burial will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.

Loved her Family more than anything would do anything for her friends and a very hard worker,She was my best Friend for more than 40 yrs. I felt part of me leave when she did.I am so sorry for her lost to the family.

Kathy was such a loving and caring person. I worked with her at HMC in the early 80's and remained in touch from time to time. She lived life with passion for others and always gave so much of herself. She will be greatly missed! I pray God's perfect peace over this family!
