She was always "Sis. Hansford" to me. Many wonderful times with this precious lady are in my memory bank - she baked the wedding cake for my baby sister, she also made the attendants' dresses for that same sister's wedding, many occasions we spent together socially and in church. However, the memory most dear to me is the night I called my friend at 9:00 pm asking if she would go to the church prayer room with me because I had such a heavy burden to pray. Without hesitation, Sis. Hansford said yes. We spent hours that night in the prayer room of the old POA church on Sheeler Rd. until about 3:00 am the next morning - praying on our faces the entire time. That night was a turning point in the rededication & reconsecration of my life to God. I had no idea at that time for what God was preparing me, but I am eternally grateful to this lady who did not say no when I asked. I shall never forget her and have shared to many the testimony of spending that night in prayer with her and the prayers we prayed. We both saw many of those prayers answered and some still in process. I loved her dearly and am praying for comfort for her loved ones and friends.
