ODESSA- Louis Morales Gonzales, 90, passed away March 2, 2017, in Andrews, TX.
Louis was born June 5th, 1926 in Westhoff, Texas. He actively and proudly served his country in World War II, Pacific Theater in the United States Army. He went on obtain his airplane license and joined the National Guard. He later moved to Odessa in 1954 where he went to work in the oilfields. He first married Grace and had 2 children and 6 step children. Then later in life married his second wife Louise Robbins.
Louis is preceded in death by his wife, Louise Robbins Gonzales, father, Rafael Cavazos Gonzales, mother, Martina DeLeon Morales, brother, Tim Gonzales, sisters Rosita Gonzales Olivarez and Candelaria Gonzales Ray-Mitten.
Louis is survived by his son, Brian Gonzales and wife Vicki of Andrews, daughter, Susan Gower and husband Benji of Odessa, grandsons David McGill and Zach McGill, Great Grandson, Landon McGill, brothers, Ralph Gonzales, Al Gonzales, Val Gonzales, Tom Gonzales, Manuel Gonzales, sisters, Belen Sims, Martha Gonzales, Frances Cuellar, Margaret Longoria, Annie Morrison and Mary Carlow, numerous step grandchildren, step great grand children, nieces and nephews which whom all loved him dearly and will miss him greatly.
Pallbearers will be David McGill, Zach McGill, Chris Johnston, Steven Johnston, Manuel Gonzales and Brian Gonzales.
Visitation will be Monday 10:00 am- 9:00 pm, March 6, 2017 at Wilson Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday March 7, 2017, burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
The family asks in lieu of flowers to send donations to Becky's Hope Horse Rescue, Inc or a charity of your choice.
