Jo Ann McCormick
October 14, 1932 ~ March 2, 2017
Jo Ann McCormick, a native of Silver Creek, NE, passed away peacefully. After attending the University of Nebraska, she and her husband, Richard L. McCormick, were married on August 31, 1952.
Prior to Dick's retirement, Jo spent thirty years as a military wife living in the Territory of Alaska, Germany, and eleven different states. During this time, she sang in church choirs and women's choruses and bowled in women's and mixed bowling leagues. Jo served as president of the Officer's Wives Club in Frankfurt, Germany and was chairman of the Ft. Ord Chapter of the American Red Cross. After four years at Ft. Ord, she and her husband retired forty years ago to the Monterey area. Jo enjoyed playing duplicate bridge at the Monterey Bridge Center and became a Ruby Life Master.
In addition to her husband of nearly 65 years, Jo is survived by her children, Jim (Carrie) McCormick of Black Forest, Colorado and Terri (Dennis) Bunck of Bourbonnais, Illinois and five grandchildren.

Dear Dick, Terry and family,
It took until today (her regular appointment day) to fully realize that I won't get to see her smiling face again or chat about how the week went. I will be missing her for a long time to come. Please accept my love and sympathy for the loss of dear Jo. I wish we all could have had more time with her, but I'm so grateful she went peacefully without pain and suffering. With love, Brenda

We were able to experience a few Raider games with Jo. She always had a twinkle in her eye and a huge smile. It seemed to us that as long as she was with her family, nothing would bother her, even the Raider Nation. Jo is such a kind soul, and we are grateful for the times we spent with her Bunck and McCormick family. Heaven welcomed a beautiful angel! Love, The Bonnie Family
