In actuality I only really knew Rich for a few years, back in the late 80's & early 90's when I worked with him at Sysco Orlando. In all my moves I had failed to stay in touch more than a few times, but he had a profound impact on my life and how I would come to think as a man. At that time I was a young 30 something and I believe he was in his 50's. He loved his boys... oh how he loved them. And Norma.... He adored her. When I discovered today he had passed, I was overwhelmed by sadness that I'd not stayed in contact with him, although I'd tried to find him the past several months.
You never know when the last time you'll talk to a person is. But if I had, I would have told him I loved him, because he left an indelible and lasting impression on me and who I am today, and I would have wanted him to know that.
I know a lot of good people. But there are only a handful I would call genuinely fine human beings.
That was Rich to me and I'm confident to so many others.
It is so great that he has the incredible legacy of his children and grandchildren to carry who he was into the future.
Go with God
I'm sorry I never got to say good bye

I am so sadden to hear of the passing of "Big Dick". He was, to say the least, a unique - one of a kind - individual. He was the type of person that was always able to bring a smile to your face. I know how proud of each of his sons he was and his legacy will continue through you. My life is much better for have knowing Dick. My thoughts and prayer are with you during your time of grief.

My heart weighed heavy upon learning of Mr.D's passing. I just saw you, with that larger than life smile on your face, speaking to everyone that crossed your path. You were ALWAYS, since I was a little girl, a gentle giant. Your words always comforting, charming, polite... your heart, always genuine. I admired you as a family man. Another Sweetwater gentleman setting the bar high for the next generation.
Thank you for your kindness.
I am so sorry I could not be there today to pay my personal respects to your family. My heart is with you all.
Chris/Amy & Family: I am lifting each of you in prayer asking for God's comforting hands to rest over your hearts and bring forth the happiest of memories to make you smile. I am truly sorry for your loss.

I worked with "Mr D" at Sysco Central Florida and will always remember him as a gracious and kind man. We lovingly called him "The Mayor" because so many of our employees made a point to stop by his office and spend a moment with him...conversations he enjoyed tremendously.
Sid and I send our condolences to the DiMarco family.
