Heaven gained an angel when Sandra Marion Caldwell passed peacefully on March 8, 2017 at home surrounded by her loving family. Sandy was born in Norwich, CT on Oct. 20, 1937 to the late Philip & Lena Isper.
Sandy pursued an education in nursing prior to marrying, Richard S. Caldwell, Sr. When their children started school, Sandy joined the Va Beach school system as an aide and office administration. She retired early to become a full-time grandmother.

She had a contagious smile and laugh and was accepting of all. Her happy positive attitude was an inspiration to everyone. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her heartbroken children, Richard Caldwell Jr. and wife Lora, Karen Caldwell and fiancé Jamie, Cheryle Caldwell and husband David; 5 grandchildren, Eric, Lexie, Carley, Emily, and Cameron; and great-grandson, Owen.

Dear Friends, we are so sorry for your loss of a good mom and grand. Sandy was a neighbor of ours for many years and always ready to chat over the fence about the kids or grand kids. As the years went on and the kids grew up she was very proud of the adults they became..Know that we are thinking and praying that your memories will continue to keep her in your hearts. our condolences Pam and Bob Flanagan
