Betty Mae Kirgan, age 91, of Pekin, passed away Friday, March 10, 2017 at 12:20 a.m. at Pekin Manor Care Center.
She was born May 22, 1925 in Beardstown to Norman and Linnie (DeWitt) Davis. She married Edgar Kirgan on July 12, 1947 in Pekin. He passed away on Sep. 29, 1990 in Pekin. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Richard “Dick” and Roland Davis, one nephew, Gary Fox, and one great-nephew, Kreg Kirgan .
Survivors include 15 nieces and nephews, numerous great-nieces and nephews, and a dear friend, Florabelle.
Betty worked for American Distillery for 33 ½ years retiring in 1980. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Pekin, and a lifetime member of the Pekin VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 1232. Betty loved family functions, playing Bingo, and going out to eat with family and friends.
Funeral services will be Monday, March 13, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. at the Davison-Fulton Woolsey Funeral Home in Pekin. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services on Monday.
Graveside services will be Tuesday March 14, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. in the mausoleum at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to her church, TAPS, or Lighthouse Hospice.
