Davetta was a beautiful, funny, loving, giving person and I cherish the years that she and I were "like" sisters. She was so good to me those many years ago. I will never forget her.
The photos you posted with this tribute truly show her beauty and sense of humor, and that is the way I like to remember her.
My deepest sympathy to Davetta's family.

I have just received the sad news of Davetta's passing. The world has lost someone very special. She was my best friend growing up, and I will always cherish the fond memories of the years we shared throughout junior high and high school. May the love of family and friends comfort and strengthen you in the days ahead. Please accept my sincere and heartfelt sympathy.

I have fond memories of the fun we had at College Hill Elementary School and Jefferson Ave. Jr. High and particularly Junior Red Cross with Davetta. She was always a fun, genuine person. I feel fortunate that she brightened my life.
