Goerlich, Naomi Mae (Carel) beloved mother and grandmother passed peacefully on March 11th, 2017. Naomi was born May 1st, 1927 in Phoenix to Scott and Alma Carel. She graduated from Phoenix Union High School in 1945 and in 1948 married William "Bill" Goerlich. Naomi was an employee of the Arizona Republic/Phoenix Gazette newspapers for many years until she and Bill started a family in 1960.
Naomi was proceeded in death by her husband of 41 years Bill, and her sister Lorena Fae (Carel) Peterson. Naomi is survived by her two children Richard "Dick" (Nancy) Goerlich & Susan (Brian) Churchill and her four grandchildren Brian (Tiea) & Kevin Goerlich and William & Katherine Churchill.
A graveside service will be held at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery, March 25th at 10am.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to Hospice of the Valley.

Dick & Nancy, Susie & Brian and Naomi's grandchildren,
We are so sorry for your loss . It was great to see Naomi at the wedding in October.. such a sweet and fiesta lady! Life won't ever be the same without her, but the great memories will be there forever.
Thanks for sharing all your funny, family stories with us Dick. You made your mama proud!
