Howard E. “Bill” Bailey, 73, of Santo Domingo Village, The Villages, FL, passed away unexpectedly on March 9, 2017. Bill was born in Boston, MA to the late Margaret and Howard A. Bailey. He was raised in Binghamton, NY. After graduating from North High School, he attended SUNY Broome Community College, served four years in the United States Air Force, and then earned his degree from the University of Montevallo in AL. Bill retired from IBM after 37 years of service and has worked for Golf Management Solutions of The Villages for the last 14 years. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Georgia, daughters Jennifer White (Sean) of Plant City, FL and Cathy Langlois (Grant) of Tampa, FL; brothers Jack (Barbara) Bailey of Endicott, NY and Steve (Brenda) Bailey of Murfreesboro, TN; uncle Doug Bailey of Binghamton, NY; grandchildren Matthew and Sara Langlois, and Kyle, Lauryn, Dylan and Anthony White; many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Bill loved animals and especially his dog Casey. Memorial contributions may be made to The Humane Society/SPCA of Sumter at 994 CR 529A, Lake Panasoffkee, FL, 33538. The family will have a private memorial at a later time.
