Bernita (Bernie) Lovell of Longmont, CO passed on Thursday, March 16, 2017. She was born in Lincoln, Nebraska on September 23, 1929. Bernie worked in the legal sector, and she was active in dancing, Grannies, Red Hats and Long Peaks Methodist church. Bernie is survived by her children, Patrick Strawn and Kim Strawn. Siblings: Gary Earl and sister-in-law, Sandy Earl. Daughter-in-law, Kay Strawn and daughter-in-law Christine Strawn. Grandchildren: step granddaughter Nicole Mastes, Jennifer Strawn, Amy Strawn, Brian Strawn and Nicole Strawn. Great grandchildren: Abegale, Arie, and Joey. Bernie was proceeded in death by her parents, Dwight Burr Earl and Ruby Florence, husband, and her son Michael Strawn. A memorial service will be held at 2 pm Wednesday March 29, 2017 at Crist Mortuary 3395 Penrose Pl., Boulder. To send condolences please go to www.cristmortuary.com. I'm sorry to hear of your loss. I delivered communion to Bernie from Longs Peak United Methodist Church and always looked forward to seeing her. She was a lovely lady.
