Aline Metzger Estes, 96 of Ooltewah, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2017. She was born on April 23, 1920 to the late William and Annie Metzger and was a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church. Mrs. Estes (Nannie) will be remembered for her sweet spirit and faithfulness to the Lord. She loved to read and quilt, and had the most beautiful vegetable gardens. Her most treasured times were when she took care of her family, especially her husband David. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and showered us with an abundance of love and prayers. She will be forever missed, but always in our hearts.
Mrs. Estes was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years, David A. Estes Sr., son David A. Estes Jr., twin sister Irene Turner, one brother and four sisters.
Survivors include three daughters and spouses, Diane Lynn and Roy of Ooltewah, Shirley Gravitt and Kyle of Ringgold, GA., Judy James and Larry of Chattanooga, nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and ten great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews
Funeral service will be 6:00 pm Tuesday, March 21, 2017 in the chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, East Chapel with the Rev. Daniel White and Greg Bolton officiating. Interment will be on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at 11:30 am at the Chattanooga National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.

So sorry to hear of her passing. I am out of town or would be there. She was a real treasure and I loved her sweet, but spunky ways! She was one of a kind and certainly loved her family. I know you will always miss her, but there's a better day coming when there will be no more good byes! Can't wait to see her there! Cynthia Spears, RN
