Harry Eugene Dennis, 68, Rainbow City, went to be with the Lord on March 21, 2017
Mr. Harry was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace and Evelyn Dennis, brothers, Clark Dennis and Roger Dennis.
He is survived by his wife, Lesya Dennis; son, Daniel Noah Dennis; brother, Andy Dennis; sisters-in-law, Julie Dennis, Judith Dennis, and Vita Derkulska; niece, Leah Julann Dennis, nephew, Alex Clark Dennis; his adopted son, David Israel Britt; adopted daughter, Ashlee Phillips; and numerous friends.
Harry was the first student to receive aviation pilot license from Gadsden State. He served for years in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam era as a jet radar technician. He retired from Ricoh Business Products after forty years as a repair technician and trainer. He spent many years as a radio broadcaster for various local high school football teams.
His loves and hobbies were family, travelling overseas, flying, boating, and especially deer hunting because Harry was an avid outdoorsman.
Harry's biggest trophies in life were numerous mission trips serving and helping to spread the love of Jesus Christ. He loved his Northpark Baptist church so much. Certainly, Heaven gained a special angel.
Harry Dennis was a wonderful daddy and a great husband. Death was the last and the most difficult chapter in his life on Earth, but first and the most exciting chapter in eternity.
Rest in Peace, dearest Harry, and do know that we will miss you so much and love you to Heaven and back.

My heart is saddened by your loss and my thoughts and prayers are with you. Harry and I go way back to the mid 70s, when we became friends while stationed at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida.

I'm so glad we got to see you all at Cracker Barrel a few months ago. Harry will be sorely missed in this world. He made our lives richer and more meaningful through knowing him and experiencing China with him. We thank God for his influence in our daughter's life. There are so many who have come to know the Lord through his love for Christ and passion for sharing the Word and Gospel. We thank God for giving us the privilege of knowing him here and being with him in the future when we join him in heaven. You all are in our prayers.

Dear Lesya and Daniel,
I am saddened by the loss of your much loved husband and father. I know that our Heavenly Father will comfort you, and I will be remembering you in prayer. When Kerry went to be with the Lord, someone sent me this sweet reminder, "For this, we have Jesus".
