.Edward John Ottman III a retired Chief in the U. S. Coast Guard passed away March 21, 2017. He was born May 25th, 1946 In Port Chester New York to Edward and Patricia Ottman.
He is survived by his wife Cathy L. Perry Ottman; daughter Christy Price and grandchildren Cirsty and Haven, daughter Chellie and husband Doug Savage and grandchildren Kody White and Gage Savage, daughter Paula Price and grandchildren Robin, Kris, Robert, and Missy, daughter Tarra Aldrich and grandchildren Ashley LaPine and Joshua Aldrich, and son Edward Ottman IV, and Jill Cauvier and husband James, granddaughter Sage and her brother Jax, and many nieces and nephews. Surviving siblings Cathy Ann Ottman, Barbara Fleming and husband Joey, and Debbie Watson and husband Randy. He had a special best buddy, Bandit. He also had many special nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father Edward John Ottman Jr. and mother Patricia Stuart Ottman. He loved fishing with his grandchildren and summer family vacations. He attended Kaiserslautern High School in Germany and received a little college before joining the U.S. Coast Guard for a 24 year career.
The family can be located at 1045 Lakeside Drive, Hidden Lakes Subdivision, Williamston. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Lupus Foundation of America 2121 K Street NW, Suite 200 Washington, DC 20037-1830 or the American Cancer Society P O Box 22478 Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 26, 2017 at Biggs Funeral Home chapel in Williamston, N.C. at 6:00 P.M.
