Rowe, George F., passed away peacefully at his home in Clearwater, FL on March 21st. Born May 13, 1919 to Clinton A Rowe and Alice (Mayfield) Rowe in Owensboro, KY. He learned to make crystal radios from his father; a hobby he continued until into his 96th year. He served in the Civilian Conservation Corp, enlisted in the Navy, served in the South Pacific during WWII as a radio operator on a PBY, and later served in the Navy Reserves. He was proud of his career at the NSA in Washington, D.C., during which time he met, and married, the love of his life-Margaret Martin. They enjoyed life, travel, friends and family. George cared for Margaret at home until her passing in 2011. His kindness, generosity, ingenuity and compassion for others will be remembered by all who knew him. George is survived by cousins Thomas Bell and Larry Mayfield, both of Owensboro, Kentucky, and by many of Margaret's loving family members.

A prince of a fellow. My husband, Allen and I came to love George and cherished corresponding and talking to him. I still have the photo of George and Margaret on their wedding day that George gave me. He was so special!

Aunt Margaret and Uncle George were both examples of people to emulate. Such kind and precious people. Our family was blessed when Aunt Margaret and Uncle George found each other. They both will be missed and remembered very fondly.
