I had the pleasure of meeting Minnie while I was working at Elmcroft and she quickly became one of my favorite people. I will miss her deeply.

How can you think of Minnie Watz without thinking of scouting. From the early days of making my sit-upon in her home, going on the many camp outs, singing songs by the camp fire, doing good deeds for the community under her guidance, she and her leadership embodied the meaning of a "good scout". She loved all of her little scouts and looked after us with love. As an adult when we reconnected it was great to call her friend. It was with great pride that she spoke of each of you, her darling children and grandchildren. She will always hold a special place in my heart. May God bless each of you during this time of loss. Thank you for sharing her with the neighborhood kids. You will be missed Miss Minnie and always loved.

Katy, Karen, John and Amy,
Mom is going to miss her baby sister and all the lunches at their favorite restaurants, Cracker Barrel and Rosie's there on Memorial Pkway. Both Mom and Dad loved running down the mountain to see Minnie. Dad would tell me he couldn't understand how they could go on about different childhood memories, giggling all the while for hours. Some of the best times of my youth were when Aunt Minnie and Uncle John would bring all you guys up for Thanksgiving dinner or meet us half way between Chattanooga and Huntsville for picnics. We've all grown apart since then but we'll never forget how both your mom and dad loved and adored each of you. May God's love surround the Watz Family and friends at the time.
